I am Jamie Hawk (she/her) of Jamie Hawk’s Flight Society LLC (JHFS) and this brand is a vital outlet for the million ideas I have every day to honor and pour into women, students, small business owners, corporate teams, and dreamers.
It’s a collection of what I think of as I fall asleep, quotes I’ve heard from past mentors, music that moves me to be great, and most of all— a belief in YOU.
My specialization is helping women get what they want in life and at work—and I want to spark honest conversation and understanding about the experiences of all women.
By women, I mean:
Underpaid/under-appreciated groups (ahem, all women!)
Women of color dealing with barriers most of the world is completely unaware of
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community
First generation college students
People with incarcerated parents
Moms (employed, entrepreneurs, family-devoted)
Single working women carrying the weight of the world’s (ridiculous) issues
And on and on!
I am the chief content creator and representative of this venture — and I want to be the bringer of the quotes, explanations, connections, understanding, and motivation you can’t live without!
I should also probably mention that I am a master saleswoman who has worked for iconic brands from Sports Illustrated to Real Simple to Entertainment Weekly to Her Campus Media— so I am all about helping you market yourself and your unique, awesome qualities! Let’s get started!
WHAT IS JHFS?
This brand is a content and conversations platform designed to help me share my support of people seeking to take off!
The reason this brand is referred to as a ‘Society’ is because at its core, JHFS is a shared knowledge and understanding among likeminded individuals. I am not here for the uninspired. The ‘Society’ is everyone I’ve met in the past and have yet to meet who demonstrates undeniably special qualities: interest, tenacity, enthusiasm, humility, nerve, and vision.
Everyone I’ve ever given career advice to is someone who now gives advice to others.
I have been told my entire career—- or actually life(?) that I am the ultimate hype woman. I love this description but what I say in response is that I am a REPORTER, not a SUPPORTER. I don’t give compliments to anyone who I don’t see STARS around.
The Society is composed of people who are stubborn about having inspired lives, soulful about their pursuit, and eager to extend a hand back to others the second their goal is reached.
I can’t reasonably sit with every inspired person on earth, so I am putting my heart out here for everyone. 🪩
WHY A LIGHTNING BOLT??
Jamie Hawk’s Flight Society LLC is a content platform and a network powered by a few core belief systems.
I believe that work and life are intertwined, and both deserve to be happy and fun!
While my brand is all about ‘flight’ and ‘taking off’ (as a nod to the awesome last name I married into—HAWK!), the logo does not feature a bird or a wing.
My icon is a lightning bolt because I believe that an inspired, devoted person can ‘soar’ in *any* weather (yep, even in metaphorical thunder and lightning!).
I also love the lightning bolt because it indicates boldness, and the ability to stand out/grab attention.
I am silly, excited, and fully convinced that grabbing people’s attention is half the battle of getting internships, jobs, and more! A lightning bolt is the perfect icon for how I operate!
